My husband doesn't mind shopping with me for a little while. He said that he would be more into it if I would make and sell things than to just give everything away. But all in all he loves everything I make and he even is better at picking color fabrics than I am. I am still learning on the color thing. I guess that is one reason why I love him to come with me. I need to really take a class on colors and matching them.

Raptureready, Patty Patches, Linda 1, Mine is right there with yours. Grouchy and Whiney. He startled me today when I showed him the Booty Bags I made this week. He looked surprised and said, "Those are actually kind of cute." Thought I would faint. lol

My DH always chats up my quilting to people we meet. He doesn't say a word when I come through the door loaded down with fabric. I have taken over the dining room as my sewing studio and the only thing he said is keep the pins off the floor so the baby doesn't get them.

My DH supports my quilting 110%. He reasearched machines and sat thru many demos and ended up buying me a great machine for our 25th wedding anniversary. I love it. He also enjoys fabric shopping with me now and then and has even picked out fabrics for 3 quilts I have made. He's even gone to quilt shops when on travel for work and brought me home patterns and kits! We do have very similar tastes in things, so it works out pretty well for us.

I worked for 25 years, was a good saver and am a thrifty person. My husband doesn't even know how much I spend on quilting or anything else for that matter. I eat out with my girlfriends at least once a week; he's supportive and always asks what's new with The Girls. He plays golf a couple of times a week with 3 other guys he's been playing with for over 20 years. I have no idea how much he spends on golf. Everyone's happy. The only thing that makes me jealous is to see how many husbands on this board do the cooking...ah, that would be perfection.

My DH is a problem! When he is with me at a Quilt Show or just a Quilt Shop, he is always picking out fabrics that go together & insists that I buy enough to surely be able to make some kind of quilt. Needless to say, he is fantastic at picking out fabric. But....my sewing/quilting room is running over with fabric. It bothers me. As for him, he says that it will be there when or if I am ready for it. He chose the A-1 Longarm. He uses it. He bought me a Janome 350 Embroidery Machine. He bought 3 Featherweights. I do not like clutter or to be overcrowded and I do not want to have to buy a larger home to accommodate all of my stuff. So I had to put my foot down & ask him to please stop buying me quilting/sewing stuff. :D He just dearly loves to go to the Houston Quilt Show & is a lot of fun to run around with. We've been married for 32 yrs and hope we have that many more ahead of us. And I need to get out of my funk mood and start sewing my tail off. :D

My OH does most of the housework and cooking. We both work full time. Does not have a problem with the $ I spend on fabric and quilting. Likes most of the things I make.

Here's the best bit: he's a trade qualified sewing machine technician. When my machines play up, my serviceman is in the living room.

I think I win...... ha ha ha

Yes, keep him!! I'm going to keep mine too! We celebrated 31 years this month. When I leave to go shopping for fabric he always says, "Have fun. Will it all fit in the back of the Jeep or will I have to come and get you with the truck and trailer?" Well, one time I went to a clearance sale at a JoAnns that was closing and I bought some of the fixtures (shelves etc). They would not all fit in my Jeep. I called him and he immediately came with the truck and trailer to help me take my treasures home.
