I just wanted to tell you how generous you are for donating all those quilt tops. There are going to be a lot of happy people when they receive them. It does make you feel happy & proud also to donate to people less fortunate or people going through disasters & sickness.

This is the one I've sent tops to, and the last time I checked, they were in need for sure, wasn't able to take requests from cancer patients. This is a really good org., I received a quilt from them for my late DH, it came after he passed, I kept it for a few years, but never used it, I just recently sent it back to them along with some tops I had made.

Check with your local hospitals. maybe they have someone who makes them quilts. I make them for the hospice I volunteer at and every once in awhile I'm lucky like that and someone brings me in a top or two . Any charity quilter would love them. With the cost of fabric and supplies it would help people like me on a fixed income make more to donate.

Why not sale you tops on Ebay or amazon. You can make some good money.

I am the chapter director for our state for Quilts for Kids. I'm not sure if there is one near you. We would love to receive tops and we do, then finish them. Our quilts go to sick and needy children. We also give to kids in disaster areas, and to our Urban Ministry here locally that does a Christmas Jubilee each December for under privileged children in the area. If I can answer more questions for you pm me.

Contact info for Jo at the link here. She will take donated quilt tops. She will provide the batting, backing, quilt them and bind them. Then she donates them to different causes.

I noticed that you are in Arvada CO. Check with the Mennonite Churches in your area. The women's groups make and donate quilts to the Rocky Mountain Mennonite Relief Sale, held in Rocky Ford each year in October. They are sold to raise money for relief in many areas of the world.

Have to agree w/others on this. Most needy perhaps the homeless shelters.I did work for a hospice a few years ago and one of the nurses donated lots of quilts she made herself. It was very impressive when the Hosoice House opened and each room had a beautuful quilt.

Our church (Denmark UCC) and community have formed a mission sewing group called SEW....MUCH MORE. We are beginning to collect supplies to make quilts and blankets for the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in S Dakota. I can quarantee they would be put to good use. We even have volunteer long-armers to quilt them. Feel free to PM me.
