are the radiant threads rayon or polyester? Have you used them much yet? If so, do you have trouble with breakage?

They are rayon. Most of them are okay. Some of them are poorly wound but at about 25 cents a spool who cares. There are 350 of them for 80 so you can find another color really close. I have one color that won't work at all but most of them are fine. I have Mettler and Guterman also and I have had breakage with them too. I doubt there is a color I don't have. Now I can take my time and build up a supply of large cones at my leisure. You can do a lot of work with all this thread. I also got the bid on 100 metalic threads and the rayon is similar in color and sheen. I havn't used them yet so can't say how they are.

This has been discussed on the board before... Most of the thread seems to have a very long shelf life. :D:D:D
If you do a search here you will find many interesting discussions :D:D:D

loretta, if you take a piece of thread in both hands and give it a hard jerk and it doesn't break it's ok to use. if it breaks easily doing that then pitch it.

Seems like about all the rayon I have does this. Is it old or just the type?

Another thing I'm wondering about some of the really slicky/silky rayon is why it gets down in the bottom bobbin and wraps around the bobbin and feed dogs...It creates a big problem, messes up everything including the bobbin and design.

My rayon thread will break easier than cotton or cotton/poly too. I think it is the type of thread :D

I was thinking and hoping the same thing. All the rayon I have does that. My machine hates it!

Why do you buy embroidery thread on EBAY? it's too expensive there. before buying embroidery thread , you should check the detail specification for the embroidery thread, 4000 Yard or 5000 Yard or 1100 Yard, and you should check what kind of thread you required, 75D or 120D, poly or rayon, poly ones wouldn't be easy to fade the color, I wholesale at 2-2.6$ for 5000 Yard per spool, if you buying with large quantity, you may had better to have some samples for test.
