OK people - you are creating a monster! LOL.
Since I started hanging around this board a couple weeks ago, my once-upon-a-time much beloved hobby has became almost an obsession! I see all the beautiful quilts, BOMs, tips and suggestions, enouragement, support, friendship, laughs, comiseration, creativity, and I just can't help it! I already had a lot of things I wanted to do/try, but that mental list has grown exponentially!! I'm considering setting up a second machine in my "work area" so I'm ready to do more, try more, create more! Just want to say thanks everybody! |
Happy to be of service!!!:):):)
I know what you mean! I have only been here since mid October, took a quilting class in November and have been "shopping" to build my stash, drug down my MIl's singer from the attic, so I can have two machines going, and I made three rag quilts to hone my non existent sewing skills! I am headed next week to sew three more rag quilts for the other three grandkids and already have ideas for a "real" quilt, potholders and table runners for Christmas next year. I am totally hooked. Like I need another craft obsession!
This board is great!!!! I love it. Could be worse, we could be enabling gambling, drinking or whatever!!!! |
You're welcome, anytime. I love a group that understands I need mote that one sewing machine of the same model.
When you figure to a way to spend too much time on here and still do all those projects, let me know. I'm having the same problem you are.
Oh, yes, being introduced to the world of online fabric shopping has been a boon to my addition as a fabricaholic. I agreed in another thread to only buy what I 'need' this year. It's been a lon-n-ng seven days! I recently bought my first vintage machine, am looking for another and really want to dig out the one I have buried in my ex sewing room that has become a storage room. |
Your very welcome!!!
You're so welcome!! I've been on here almost a year and have got less done than in the previous years, but I'm not complaining. This is the best board ever!!!
Your entirely welcome!!
You are very welcome! Birds of a feather, flock together! :D :D
This board is a home away from home and like a big quilting family.
We love to create monsters. Welcome to the rest of them!!!
Isn't it great?
You are SO VERY Welcome! hehe
What they said!
MMMMUUUUUUUHHHHHHAAAAAAHHHHHHAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!
you are very welcome!
I know just what you mean. I have a list a mile long I want to do and my stash has grown by leaps and bounds. It's so much fun. Welcome to the party.
:lol: We have captured another one!! :D:D:D
I also, just started with this board and I can't seem to stay off of it. The ideas are endless, the support that is so welcome is fantastic. Just reading and seeing the pictures of some of the project you all have done has my list of wants growing. I can't wait to get in my sewing room and make something else. There is one thing that I need to ask of all you. How do you keep from becoming so addicted to quilting so you don't forget that you have a family. I think my DH is getting jeolous of my quilting :D
don't you just love it here i know i do
he-he-he

Ladies,
I agree with all of you. I started a Man quilt for my husband last evening a 12 moons Robert Kaufman design for a kingsize bed. He said I guess now I need to build you a quilt room. Yehaw I am going for it. Thanks to all of you for your kindness, advice and help. I love you all Dianne R |

I'm considering setting up a second machine in my "work area" so I'm ready to do more, try more, create more! I have 3 sewing machines, 1 embroidery/sewing machine, 1 longarm quilting machine, and a professional (Toyota) embroidery machine. Welcome to Club Obsession!! |
Glad to hear that a lot of us are feeding our souls with needle and thread and fabric and machines and mats and rotary cutters and attachments and and and
You are welcome, and welcome to the club of crazy inspiration. We do have a lot of fun here, and create quilting monsters of all sizes and shapes from all kinds of places

I am so amused with this - just how does one get to use two machines at the same time? cause I have 3 and it would be great to get all three of them going at once so I can make some head way on all my projects? Now come on, spill cause I am getting so behind it isn't funny  Maybe1day |
