OK people - you are creating a monster! LOL.

Since I started hanging around this board a couple weeks ago, my once-upon-a-time much beloved hobby has became almost an obsession! I see all the beautiful quilts, BOMs, tips and suggestions, enouragement, support, friendship, laughs, comiseration, creativity, and I just can't help it! I already had a lot of things I wanted to do/try, but that mental list has grown exponentially!! I'm considering setting up a second machine in my "work area" so I'm ready to do more, try more, create more!

Just want to say thanks everybody!

erstan947 01-07-2011 06:26 AM

Happy to be of service!!!:):):)

Japonica 01-07-2011 06:27 AM

I know what you mean! I have only been here since mid October, took a quilting class in November and have been "shopping" to build my stash, drug down my MIl's singer from the attic, so I can have two machines going, and I made three rag quilts to hone my non existent sewing skills! I am headed next week to sew three more rag quilts for the other three grandkids and already have ideas for a "real" quilt, potholders and table runners for Christmas next year. I am totally hooked. Like I need another craft obsession!

This board is great!!!! I love it.

Could be worse, we could be enabling gambling, drinking or whatever!!!!

Maia B 01-07-2011 06:28 AM

You're welcome, anytime. I love a group that understands I need mote that one sewing machine of the same model.

irishrose 01-07-2011 06:30 AM

When you figure to a way to spend too much time on here and still do all those projects, let me know. I'm having the same problem you are.

Oh, yes, being introduced to the world of online fabric shopping has been a boon to my addition as a fabricaholic. I agreed in another thread to only buy what I 'need' this year. It's been a lon-n-ng seven days!

I recently bought my first vintage machine, am looking for another and really want to dig out the one I have buried in my ex sewing room that has become a storage room.

natalieg 01-07-2011 06:41 AM

Your very welcome!!!

dkabasketlady 01-07-2011 06:43 AM

SandraAnn 01-07-2011 09:27 AM

I also, just started with this board and I can't seem to stay off of it. The ideas are endless, the support that is so welcome is fantastic. Just reading and seeing the pictures of some of the project you all have done has my list of wants growing. I can't wait to get in my sewing room and make something else. There is one thing that I need to ask of all you. How do you keep from becoming so addicted to quilting so you don't forget that you have a family. I think my DH is getting jeolous of my quilting :D

barefoot quilter 01-07-2011 09:49 AM

Yeah at least with quilting we see where the money has gone where as for gambling and drinking...you see nothing but troubles. :)

bjnicholson 01-07-2011 09:58 AM

I'm in the same boat! Except that I can only sew on one machine at a time. But I have a to-do list longer than my capabilities right now!!!

Got to agree with you there! I have bought more fabric in the past two months than I could ever imagine. (Trying to beat the price increases--yeah, right!) I suddenly feel "behind" in my quilting because I have so many projects that I have seen here and loved

ibequilting1 01-08-2011 03:15 AM

My thoughts exactly. I start and end my day with the board. I have learned so much and appreciate you all.

tmg 01-08-2011 03:18 AM

Ladies,
I agree with all of you. I started a Man quilt for my husband last evening a 12 moons Robert Kaufman design for a kingsize bed. He said I guess now I need to build you a quilt room. Yehaw I am going for it.

Thanks to all of you for your kindness, advice and help.
I love you all

I am so amused with this - just how does one get to use two machines at the same time? cause I have 3 and it would be great to get all three of them going at once so I can make some head way on all my projects? Now come on, spill cause I am getting so behind it isn't funny

Maybe1day

That makes two of us. I've already decided to keep the machine I wanted to sell.

Of course, I no longer get anything else done.
