Is your iron too hot?

I use the mirage collection alot in my quilts. I wash and dry and iron with absolutely no problem. It is my favorite compliment to any quilt I do. I have found their fabric to be good quality and cutting amounts. I was hesitant at first to order 'on-line', but CT has my vote for any fabric. I just ordered their Spring Batik 2012 fat quarter collection. Man.....that.....postman can't get here fast enough.

I also had this problem with the Mirage fabric I got from CT.
Not sure exactly what the problem is. Bev |
Definitely worth contacting them. It never hurts to ask.

I just finished a quilt top using four Mirage fabrics from CT, and had no problems with it. I prewash and iron all my fabrics. I'm also wondering if your iron temperature might be the problem.

I have several in my stash. I love them in my quilts all the time. I have not had a problem. If you have I would contact them. They have the best customer service.

My Mirage is all from the older colors - some bought in early 2011 and some later in the year on clearance and every piece has been great to work with. Glowy colors, nice hand, washes well, presses well. Did they change the line after the clearance?

I quit buying their fabric....too many issues with it...and yes, the iron sticking to it was one of them. I have a Maytag cordless iron and never had that happen until I was trying to press some of the darker Mirage fabrics.....

Did you starch the fabric before pressing ? So many things can affect fabric and how it presses - send Connecting Threads an email or call them and ask for suggestions ? |
Do you have the same problem if you iron the back side of the fabric?
