YEY!!!!! correct! It has always been an issue with me. It used to drive me crazy, and I only an English major. 'Dry Goods' also fit into this subject. However, ladies remember the Dictonary continues to grow daily.

LOL The things we can talk about on here. lol I love it.

It is an age thing. I never heard it called fabric before I was an adult. Probably regional too.
|
I wonder if it started the same way, on one coast you may call it pop, on the other coast soda, and in a lot of places they just call it pepsi, or what ever it is you want.
Potatoe - Potato Tomatoe - Tomato Roof - Ruf Aunt - Ant All the same to me. |
Funny - I remember going to the material store back in the day. Now, fabric store.
|
Fabric because it is FAB.
|
I USED to call it material - now call it fabric. I don't know why!
|
It's our age, I guess. It all was material when I was a young whippersnapper. Fabric does sound more elegant. The 30s fabric does look like material.

Note that I did not give a reason...just said it was the same reason, whatever it is. froggyintexas |
