Thanks Billy, I get more comments on my carpeting. Can you believe when we re did our LR 2 years ago my DH chose this carpet? I must say it is a little darker than these pics and I love it! Everything seems to go with it.

It can be. I've made 3 quilts for "me", so I wanted them to be somewhat "Manly". Below are pics of them. I think they're not so much "manly" as they're not "girly", if that makes any sense.

Eddie, your quilts are beautiful! I especially like the brown and teal. What is the pattern name for this quilt?

It's called "Stretched Stars". I've also heard it called "Indian Hatchet".

You have to look, but there are some fabrics out there. The first man quilt I made, had boats and ships, the backing looks like boards.

I recently saw some great quilts during a demo at my quilt guild. This lady only goes to thrift stores and buys men's shirts. Then she makes the nicest men's quilts. She showed examples of flannel, dress shirt and tropical theme quilts. Quite nice. I'm going to try one.

I can not buy any, so I have not looked at any thing with thought in it,. I do go look sometimes just to get out of the house, but that ends up depresing me more because I cant get any. Penny
