I guess I'm lucky. My daughter has been giving me a hard time about all the fabric I have, but now usually I only need to go buy one or two piece when making a quilt, I have so much fabic I could open a store.

Here fabric is running $8 - $16/yard at Joann's on sale and up to $3-$8+/yard more expensive in LQS for 45" material. Larger widths are almost impossible to find, except online.

$3.59 - $7.99/yd. I am fortunate to have a surplus store that buys discontinued quilting cottons and sell for $3.59....I have gotten Michael Miller, South Sea Imports, etc. My regular quilting shops run no more than $7.99. It pays to live in the country!

$10.50 and up.

I was at the first LQS on Tues and paid $10.49/yd and $3/yd but that one was in the marked down fabric. Then went to the second LQS and paid $6.99/yd. The sales clerk was even astonish by that price.

I have been organizing my fabric lately ... it reduces the need to buy more, lol.

We have a store which I would refer to as a general store, they have some fabric and not shoddy, nice fabric. It runs between $6.99 and $10.00.
|
In Canada our prices for LQS fabric averages about 15.99 - 16.99 a metre.

I have enough in my stash to make lots and lots of quilts. I haunt the garage sales, estate sales, and sales in general. I will be setting up a shopping list for my birthday month so I can get 30% off everything. Pays to be patient and go with what can be found.
