 That makes me happy, I can't find James Thompson'muslin lining anywhere but wal-mart. I hope Wal-Mart will bring it back to Central City Ky :D

That is fantastic news. 3 cheers plus a thousand more.

Hope all the stores get fabric in. If mine got rid of the fabric, I was prepared not to shop there anymore

OOPS...I'd also like to see quilt quality be available along with the less expensive fabrics, some can only afford to buy.

sorry ..forgot to add that before

Will be pleased. There is no fabic store in my town. I email Walmart about their decision to take out fabrics. Just be waiting

There are 2 Walmarts within 20 miles of where I live. One is 2 miles away but not a super store. They have had fabric for years and have only downsized the department a little bit. There are several associates who can cut fabric and are fairly knowledgeable. The other store is in Toccoa. It used to be a regular WM with a nice fabric dept. When we heard they were going to build a new super store, and that fabric would be eliminated, many quilters complained. When the new super store opened, the new fabric dept was larger and nicer than at the old store. That was 3-4 years ago. They still have a whole wall of quilt fabrics on bolts, plus 2 aisles of cottons and other stuff, and a table piled with bolts of fleece, plus interfacings, muslins, batting, felt, and 2 brands of patterns. The only thing they did wrong was to put a post in the center of the cutting table, making it very hard for the associates to measure and cut yardage! But we are not complaining about that!

That is good news. Our Wal Mart did away with the fabric department earlier this year and to be honest, I hate Wal Mart now. It was always very busy in that department and I did not understand their thinking. I have just about boycotted it since this happened. If this is true that is great but it had better be sooner than later because we do have other places in our town that now sell fabric and they might not get me back. :hunf:
