I have had great service and products from:

sewthankful.com
equilter.com
FabricDepot.com

I buy online a lot and have found those three to be really helpful with quick turnaround and always great products!

Hi there! I have never bought online here in Australia or OS, however my sister buys a lot online, from E-quilter.com in USA and is very happy with their service, prices and postage. She also buys from Logans Patchwork Fabrics here in Aust. I recently had a lovely spend up at at gorgeous little quilt store called The Secret Drawer while visiting the beautiful beachside holiday town of Robe in SE Sth Aust - yummy!

What are charm packs? Thank you, Elsie

Favorite Fabrics 10-04-2010 04:00 AM

Charm packs are bundles of 5" squares of fabric, and usually all are different, like the charms on a charm bracelet are all different. Those by Moda are typically 40 per pack but it can vary; Benartex has done 32, 34, 36, or 37 per bundle.

That's where I got the dog fabric for Henry's quilt.

I hope I'm not hi-jacking this thread or stepping on anyone's toes by posting these pictures - here's the quilt I made for Henry.

I just recently ordered some fabric from Rocking Chair Quilts and I was really impressed with the fabric. All was on sale and great prices. I have ordered from other places and I think Rocking Chair Quilts fabric was awesome...

I love E-Quilter.com They have absolutely the most user friendly search feature. Their prices are comprable to your local quilt store so, it is a little more after adding shipping costs. But the off set is I can often find things I can't locally.

I just placed my first on-line order with Texas Quilt Company. They were wonderful. Helped me a great dal with fabric selection. I picked the main fabric and they sent many suggestions for go-with fabrics. They were a pleasure to deal with, reasonably priced and fast shippers. I would use them again in a heartbeat.
I also use Handcock's Fabrics and Connecting Threads. Shibori Dragon was a favorite but I refuse to pay the prices. Even equilter is beyond me.

I've still to find a good one in the UK. ebay seems to be the best so far, but as I'm new I'm sure I will find the one that is kept secret. :D

I ordered online for the first time last week and I have to give a thumbs up for Designer Fabrics in Carrington ND.

I needed more fabric to finish a quilt and found that Designer Fabrics had what I needed. I ordered Monday and received the order in Illinois on Thursday and I am well on my way to finish this darn quilt!

First thank you for starting this thread. I found 3 new places to shop online.
I love Hancocks of Peduc.... can't spell the rest.
I also like Favorite Fabrics and J&O Fabrics, Marshalls dry goods and thousands of bolts. I love fabric.com but they don't ship to Argentina so I if I want something special I have to ship to my sister or wait until I visit NY once a year.
GreenFairy is a member here and she has a blog site with some great prices on pre-cuts, here is her link.

I just found this place, and their prices are terrific. They have quilt backings for $2.75/yd-$4.75/yd, and all sorts of other bargains. It's sort of a pain to have to go through each color family, but it you have the time, it's well worth the work. Alas, they don't have free postage at those prices, but even then I believe I averaged $3.60/yd. Not half bad, eh?
