so many materials- so many different ways to make quilts !LOL
My first was a 3 stripper, oldest granddaughter has it, and it was made to the book specs, but now I see so many different ways it can be made ! |
There are different ways. I have one with 6 rails at 1 1/2' width.

[quote=girliegirl]is your avatar a pet bird ?? what is that??
Looks like a female Eclectus. Cool birds. The males are all green. |
Woody that bird is beautiful. What is it?

My avatar is a king size split rail pattern with six rails. There is a small inside border of a batik w/most of the rail colors in it, then a wider border of the darker, dominate rail fabric.

My husband made a rail fence (3 strips) and then set them on point...different way to lay out a traditional block. Here's a closeup of his quilt.
