I recently bought the Fiskars and initially liked it but after using it to cut strips for a Judy Martin pattern, I discovered it was cutting strips about 1/8+ too wide. Between that miscalibration coupled w the flimsy acrylic handle, it's being returned.
I purchased the Havel's instead and sure enough, its cutting measurements are correct :) The acrylic also seems thicker and I find it's easier for me to read. Just my experience. |
My DIL bought one just before she started her first quilting class. She had a terrible time using it, gave it to me to try, and I now use it for cutting wrapping paper. I've only used Olfa's and that's what she is using now.

I bought one a couple of months ago, and I love it. I have had no problems whatsoever using it.

I didn't like mine either, went back to the original 45 degree Olfa. Why fix it if it isn't broken.
