Kathy, I ended up using Warm and Natural rather than wool. I figured the flannel used and batting would be plenty warm enough. Thank you for your reply - Bevster

Flannel Quilt ready to be wrapped for Christmas gift. The "pink" is actually red/white check, also used for the backing. Various lengths of each fabric used in the binding. |
it actualy doesnt shrink up as bad as people think it does. Also makes the quilting pop.

What a beautiful quilt! So colorful, which I love. Thanks for the tip on Hobbs.

Do you buy your flannel in stores or order online? I haven't had the best luck finding flannel in the Houston area. I guess it's a little too warm and humid for flannel down here on the Gulf coast, but I have a 17 year old that wears sweatshirts during the summer. :)

I always order on-line, quality is far surpased JoAnns or Hancock. I have used Debbie Mum fabric and if I can find Moda or another name brand at JoAnns. I ususally find good sales on the net for name brand fabric. I always shop using this website, it goes to over 200 quilt shops.
http://quiltshops.com/index.html This particular flannel quilt I used Wilmington Essential Flannel from Fabric Shack. http://www.fabricshack.com/cgi-bin/S...ngton60574-132 Hope this helps - Bevster |

j/k, while living in South Dakota that was a running joke to some of our friends who hailed from that very cold state. I would use something nice and fluffy. I do know they make a thicker batting, but with my machine I don't use it. |
