Beautiful!

Hey - I resemble that remark. I hail from North Dakota. It's a great place to be from - you can adjust to anything after that. I don't miss the cold.

There is a Fargo NC? My son lives in Fargo, ND and it's cold....You might try a lightweight flannel for backing.

the quilt on my bed is flannel on one side, regular quilting cotton on the other with dream wool batting...it is so soft/fluffy, warm and oh i love my quilt ! and it keeps us pretty toasty here in northern Michigan

Sounds really wonderful! I never thought of flannel on backing and cotton on quilt top. Thanks for the tip!

Wool is wonderful, but make sure you check how much it will shrink the first time it is washed. Mine shrank more than I am happy with, so now I pre-wash all my wool batting (gentle, warm water) then about 15 minutes in a warm dryer is all I need. The first time I forgot to wash on gentle and had to pull pills of wool off my batting! Lovely, warm quilts!!!

I have made a whole bunch of flannel quilts for the guys in our family, and used warm and natural in every one of them, and they all say that just the one quilt on the bed is plenty until the temp is below 0.
