I use the 4 at a time FG method. Almost NO trimming needed. Fast and easy. Any old ruler with a diagonal line works.

This site has a download for a chart to make almost any size you want. It's a great site in general.

I paper piece both FG and HST. Accurate every time.

I finished 2 quilts this past year, each used over 300 FG each. Used the 4 at a time, no waste method for both. First one, I trimmed using my regular ruler, I broke down and ordered Deb Tucker Wing Clipper for the 2nd. BIG difference in time savings and accuracy! You do need to trim your units down using the 4 at a time method. I don't usually buy specialty tools, but this one was worth every penny! I like how her rulers can do 10 sizes each, not just 1 size like many specialty rulers.

I like to use Eleanor Burns 1/2 square triangle ruler ... perfect every time!
