A scrappy 9 patch with free motion doodles. When free motion quilting one gets to play! I had such a great time! The last one is the back!

Ahhh, you mean free hand! That looks really cool. It adds a lot of textural interest to that quilt.

Tartan 01-27-2012 04:43 PM

It's very pretty on both sides. What is the material on the back? It looks like a cloud!

momto5 01-27-2012 04:55 PM

Beautiful! What kind of material is the backing? It almost looks like silk or sateen.

joyce888 01-27-2012 05:02 PM

jemma 01-27-2012 05:56 PM

waves --foam--whipped cream-----------fantastic quilting texture +++--does not detract from the quilt design---makes the back very special

kathdavis 01-28-2012 07:51 AM

If I played, if sure wouldn't look like that. It's beautiful and unique.

raynhamquilter 01-28-2012 10:53 AM

Just lovely--It makes nine patch into NINE PATCH!

Grandma58 01-28-2012 11:33 AM

The fabric on the back is rescued vintage drapery material. It is not recycled because it had never been used. I love it.

great job!

SandySews 01-29-2012 05:30 AM

beautiful.

jaciqltznok 01-29-2012 05:56 AM

sadly that is NOT FQM....that is hand GUIDED quilting...a huge difference...FMQ is done on a domestic machine...while Hand Guided Quilting is done on a longarm! Great work, but it could never be done like that on a domestic machine.

quiltaroni 01-29-2012 06:03 AM

What a good job you did

stichinluvr 01-29-2012 07:21 AM
