I agree 100% and I think this quilt is fabulous : )

So cute! I love it just like it is!

Mariposa 08-08-2012 01:45 PM

Very cute! Your chickens look happy in their "coop" :)

Really cute I love the attic windows and love the fabric. Sue

bearisgray 08-08-2012 05:28 PM

Love how you used all the fabrics with circles - very cute!

MarLeClair 08-08-2012 05:40 PM

Love your quilt. The chickens you consider "floating" I thought just stepped back away from the window a little. I like it the way it is. Nice job.

snownannie 08-08-2012 10:01 PM

Love it!!!!!

GailG 08-08-2012 10:15 PM

Great quilt! Sending you a PM

primitivequilter 08-09-2012 03:16 AM

Your quilt is absolutely adorable the way you did it! Very cute idea!!!

sc-sunshine 08-09-2012 03:31 AM

I love this quilt, I appliqued chickens on my kitchen curtains.

sharin'Sharon 08-09-2012 03:50 AM

Looks great just the way it is. A good learning experience keeps us creating.

twoxover 08-09-2012 03:55 AM

you know, that quilt is just way too cute for itself. i love it!

julybaby8 08-09-2012 04:01 AM

Your chickens don't have to all be on the "ledge", they are standing at different distances or flapping their wings :) I like that they are not all facing the same way.
Good job!

maviskw 08-09-2012 04:29 AM

The difference is: Are the chickens standing on the ledge of the window, or they outside and you are looking at them through the window. I think yours are outside, and we are looking at them through the window. So they need to be at different levels.

I love your chickens just the way they are!! So cute. You did a fabulous job.

Nell 08-09-2012 04:37 AM

It's eye-catching!

reginalovesfabric 08-09-2012 04:45 AM

I love this because I love chickens

northerncreations 08-09-2012 04:48 AM

Great job -- you are doing fantastic. Like you, I am self taught and agree we learn by trial and error but it isn't a good day if we don't learn something new. Again, great job.

Bluehouse 08-09-2012 04:50 AM

How Cute !!......Love it.

Quiltshaker 08-09-2012 04:54 AM

Adorable just like it is. Thanks for sharing.

gramquilter2 08-09-2012 04:56 AM

I think the chickens look fine the way they are. You could have done some type of thread work to put them on the ground if you are not happy with the results. It is a really cute quilt.

Roberta 08-09-2012 05:07 AM

I love this quilt. I think the chickens look as they would in real life, not all lined up with feet on the ground. It does look as if they are out foraging for food in the grass. Great job!

carolynjo 08-09-2012 05:09 AM

I love it just the way it is. Don't change a thing.

sammie 08-09-2012 05:13 AM

Your chicks are so cute. You did a great job.... I made an attic one and I understand, it was a learning experience..

needlefruit 08-09-2012 05:34 AM

I agree with Jim---they don't appear to be 'floating' to me. If you had not mentioned 'floating,' I'd have never even noticed the position of their feet. The quilt is wonderful! DON'T TOUCH IT!!!

bibi 08-09-2012 05:36 AM

Really sweet, cluck, cluck!

Dianna77984 08-09-2012 06:24 AM

Love the quilt, very cheerful and makes me smile.

Busy Quilter 08-09-2012 06:45 AM

That is what I was thinking/seeing too! I love it the way it is. I am in the process of doing an attic window for my sister with the 50 state blocks of birds and flowers. Will be a king size when finished. Does cause some eye strain doing that many with the y-seams though! LOL!
I think you have done an exceptionally good job!

karate lady 08-09-2012 07:26 AM

That is a neat quilt. I like it that lthey go in different random directions just like chickens do. smile...great job....

catsnchina 08-09-2012 07:51 AM

cute. I love the chickens and esp. the windows. I made extra large pot holders out of the same fabric.

roserips 08-09-2012 08:09 AM

Enjoyed looking at your quilt it is a breath of whimsey in an over organized world. Good use of color and the chickens are not floating they add more depth in your windows.

MimiBug123 08-09-2012 08:42 AM

I think chickens can fly, can't they? Maybe yours are just flying around. I love your quilt. I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. Great job!

franie 08-09-2012 09:26 AM

It is a darling quilt and I would do nothing to it--it is just too cute!

alwayslearning 08-09-2012 09:37 AM

If you had not mentioned it, I would have thought that was done on purpose. We are our worst critics. It is really cute!

nannyrick 08-09-2012 09:52 AM

Ooooooh , I love it. You did a great job!!!
