Thank you both. Going to stop at store and get rag scissors.

Do one row with your regular scissors so you can really apprecate the rag snips.

Great Job!!! You should be proud of yourself!

You did a beautiful job. Clip, wash and you are all set.

Very Nice. Love the colors. Take it to the laundromat for the first washing. Let them deal with all the fuzz that comes off the clippings. This is the quilt that stays on my couch year round. So cozy that my husband thinks all my quilts should be rag quilts.

Love it! I have never tried one but it looks like it would be fun.

remember to put that X in each square so fabric and batting will shrink together. Looks great, they are so cozy.

It certainly looks good to me. Nice job.

My first rag quilt I didn't put an 'X' in the middle of the fabrics. My son washed the quilt and all the batting is balled up in a corner of each rag piece. He just lays it across his couch. I need to make him another one the correct way. I've made him many quilts, but he loved the rag quilt before he washed it. I didn't know better at the time.

I second that. Use a coupon or go for Joann Fabrics 50% off fiskars. They have a GREAT rag scissor. Heavy duty with a spring and short jaw just for clipping.
