I've just asked a friend who works in a charity shop to bring me all her stock, when we go out for lunch, so I can pick out the usable ones :XD:

I un-stitched it, opened and pressed and got 14, yep 14, yards of binding from just one. I thought what a marvelous use of all those odd ones tucked in your linen cupboards for binding scrappy and other odd projects I bought from her, she wanted 20p each so I gave her a £1 and told her to keep the change. I have just unpicked them and measured them, they are 70" wide and 18" in depth which means I have bought 2 yards x 70" wide of lovely fabrics for bindings, or Project Linus quilts for a £1/ $1.63  Now that is what I call a good buy  |
I learn so many new inteesting thing on this forum- who'd a thunk to use old pillowcases for binding and for storing quilts !! Great ideas folks !
