Today he came to my house with a sheet of plywood to lay on my long table to make it wider. he had overheard me talking to someone about it being too narrow to stretch out my backing and layer. I had no clue he was even listeming.Happy Dance!! What a good kid! And he got the smooth best grade so I wont get splinters or snags...

Theresa 04-18-2011 05:56 PM

What a sweet son you raised

Treasureit 04-18-2011 07:38 PM

Don't they just bless your heart sometimes! You might want to cover it with a sheet or something so it doesn't snag anything later on when it gets rough.

MaRanda 04-18-2011 07:45 PM

Good for you!! You must be so proud of him!!

Murphy 04-18-2011 08:01 PM

I saw a utube video where they backed the quilt on plywood instead of the floor, it looked wonderful to do but I have no way of getting a piece of plywood that big ( queen size ) home so lucky you.....guess it is still the floor for me *LOL*great son you have there.......Rita

SueDor 04-19-2011 02:24 AM

See they do listen sometimes!

justlooking 04-19-2011 02:41 AM

Great son! Are you doing a "Happy Dance"?

Janet My 04-19-2011 03:21 AM

Sometimes... when you aren't looking... they grow up to be really great people and make us smile!

lillybeck 04-19-2011 03:32 AM

Sometimes our children do surprise us with a thoughtful gift. He is a good son and you are blessed.

jeannie t 04-19-2011 03:37 AM

What a sweetie!

Yooper32 04-19-2011 03:43 AM

You are indeed blessed with a son that you must have raised right. I had a son like that but foolish me left him in CO and I sure do miss him, along with all of my wonderful friends.

GlitzyMe 04-19-2011 03:47 AM

Awwww......what a thoughtful son. If your table has a nice finish you might want to buy a roll of rubber bubble shelf liner. It will protect the table from scratches and keep the plywood from sliding around :-)

agdetrick 04-19-2011 03:47 AM

send us a picture, i am interested in seeing it...probably more quilters too....

newquilter10 04-19-2011 04:11 AM

What a sweet son to listen and then do this for his Mom.

doowopddbop 04-19-2011 04:16 AM

I love a guy with skills and tools!

Drew 04-19-2011 04:18 AM

That is one great son. You'll have to have him over for supper or bake something for him.
