Is The Happy Daisy quilt on your bucket list?
1 Attachment(s)
If so, please don't make the mistake I did. :o I knew I needed 20 blocks so I chose 10 fabrics and did a "lefty" stem and "righty" stem from each color. I didn’t think it through: three rows of 4 blocks is twelve and two rows of 4 blocks is eight. I made 10 of each which doesn't work.
As you can see, when I put them on my design wall I am missing two "lefty" stems (and, yes, I have two "righty" stemmed flowers that will not be used). I hope this post saves someone from having to make more blocks when they thought they were done! |
A few white blocks would be another good look for this quilt.

thanks for the warning

Thanks for the heads up, but I think your quilt would look great if a couple of rogues slipped into the design. Maybe you could embroider a couple of eyes (one winking) on them. BTW, yes I have thought about making that design.

I bought this pattern, decided I could use the Go Daisy die with a layer cake and forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder. LOL
|
Why can't you just turn the stems and use the back of the fabric for three of the stems? I think that will look really cool.
I love this quilt. Thank you for the advise. Was this a die cut? |
Cute but not on my Bucket list. I have two Judy Niemeyer PP quilts next on my Bucket list.

Too me just looks like you need to make a couple more blocks.

Very cute quilt blocks which ever way the stems go:) Nice to share the heads up, too.
