Maksi posted this link back in Nov 09. (I've had it in my bookmarks ever since) I'm so tempted to try it for a baby quilt. I would love to see finished quilts! :)

Thanks!!

fabric_fancy 09-06-2011 03:49 PM

i have no problem getting the pattern

MTS 09-06-2011 03:49 PM

ohhh, that's right up my alley.

Very cool. And all the foundations are provided! Easy!

Greenheron 09-06-2011 03:52 PM

What an OP ART type of pattern. I love it but I'd be tempted to name it "Very Pregnant Log Cabin."

Even with the pdf, I believe it would be too difficult for me.

sueisallaboutquilts 09-06-2011 03:53 PM

It's a bit too different for me lol :D

mzzzquilts 09-06-2011 04:00 PM

It's WAYYYY different for me....it's in a foreign language, the whole page lol

TrenbeathRanch 09-06-2011 04:04 PM

Foreign language for me, too

quilter in the making 09-06-2011 04:06 PM

Foreign language for me too. Very weird.

PegD 09-06-2011 04:10 PM

I think I would have to pass on that one. Makes me dizzy.

I had the same problem.

Rosyhf 09-06-2011 04:19 PM

Oh my, nope, I wouldn't do it lol....

quiltmouse 09-06-2011 04:24 PM

it's Russian. click on the link. There's a log cabin with a big bump in the middle, like a baby bump.

PaperPrincess 09-06-2011 04:26 PM

Great Op Art quilt, but a little too complex for me. (OK a LOT too complex!)

QuiltingGrannie 09-06-2011 04:28 PM

Nope, not going to try that one. Can't figure it out to get the bump to lay down! lol

pamesue 09-06-2011 04:29 PM

I'll pass...very different

MistyMarie 09-06-2011 04:31 PM

This looks like SO much fun. I am going to print out the pattern and give it a try... down the road a bit.

crkathleen 09-06-2011 04:32 PM

Sorry guys, I forgot to mention it was in Russian. Thanks Quiltmouse. I may just do a tumbling blocks first then I will do this one.
If I do it paper pieced the seams should just sew right together, right? lol

Pat_sews 09-06-2011 04:36 PM

Hi, I get a foreign speaking site. No picture of a quilt that i see. Can u send another site or link.
TIA
Pat

Bobbinchick 09-06-2011 04:38 PM

I got some thing that looks like some sort of writing from Iraq or some such place. I couldn't understand it and no pictures of any pattern or a pdf file at all. Huggies, Fay

Pat_sews 09-06-2011 04:40 PM

OOPS I found it. sorry

Um, that would Cyrillic (Russian alphabet). ;-)

jeank 09-06-2011 04:47 PM

The page has a very obvious link to a pattern. Then the pattern is all pictures (the paper pieced pattern).

Not hard to understand.

But I think it will be hard to sew.

I think the finished quilt would be great to see at a show and get lots of comments.

Jean

But the cool thing about it is if you just adjust the coloring a bit, you could have a deep crater, not a bump. ;-)

zennia 09-06-2011 05:36 PM

Is this it? WOW

traumaRN 09-06-2011 05:41 PM

Well since I can't read Russian I can't figure out which link to click to find the pattern. The instructions might be a little difficult for me too. ;-)

SmickChick 09-06-2011 05:52 PM

I think that that one is only for the pregnant!

Julie in NM 09-06-2011 05:54 PM

In the right place would be so cool. But don't think I could do it

AKDaffyodil 09-06-2011 05:57 PM

I've not seen it before, but it makes me think of a preggo belly!! :P hehe

sushi 09-06-2011 05:58 PM

I can't see it either. :-(

LadyElisabeth 09-06-2011 06:00 PM

My neighbors are from Russia, maybe they would translate for me.

Stacey 09-06-2011 06:13 PM

This is a fabulous quilt.I just may have to try this.

Bobbinchick 09-06-2011 06:18 PM

I can't read russian either and don't know where to click for the pattern,, Any hints? Huggies, Fay

Go back to the first page of this thread. The link in the op has been corrected and will take you directly to the pattern.

Cosy 09-06-2011 06:33 PM

OOOOH, makes me dizzy just looking at it, but I will bookmark this one! Looks like fun.

tinliz 09-06-2011 07:58 PM

Would I do it? I think it would be fun, but I already have too many things going. I would love to see it done with a more subtle contrast in value.

crkathleen 09-06-2011 08:22 PM

Maybe I should change the colors and make it look like a crater. lol I am pregnant and getting the full body look. :)

Congrats on the Baby! I have seen pattern instructions that I know must be in a foreign language, but I can read the words so it must be English, just really hard to understand what they are trying to say! "You know kinda like when you talk to a teenager! ;-)

When is your baby due?
