I am just glad I am not the only one...the ones I find hard to cut are my batiks....been collecting a few along for years. I am trying to get up the nerve to start using them. I have used a few in baby quilts for my granddaughter and for my nephew...but that is it. and not very many at that.

OH YES!!! I don't feel so crazy anymore!!! I do think that maybe the perfect project may make me cut it, but even if it doesn't as long as it gives me pleasure to own and look at it, I guess that's OK too

I've heard some people say thy'll use a large piece of it like a panel and include pieced blocks around it. I have not done this, but think it's a good idea.

I have some too. I have cut large pieces and sewed them with a sashing and borders to make them for our bed. Those I keep for me.

Yes, when you find that piece of fabric that truly speaks to you, it's hard putting the rotary cutter to it. On the other hand, if you use it for a project, it has fulfilled its destiny rather than sitting among the hopefuls in the stash/hoard. I've also loved a fabric so much I've ran out and bought more of it, after I've used the original yardage up. Or bought the same thing in a slightly different color scheme and not known it until I've gotten it home (no wonder I liked it).

Yes i have been there. There is a pattern called "Just Can't Cut It' that might be of help.

Or the sidelights pattern, which I have fabric for. When I get to it. Someday. The fabric I am most unable to cut was dyed by my sister for me. Logically, I know that fabric just sitting on the shelf isn't bringing any joy to anyone, but emotionally, I just can't take a cutter to it.
