I am in the process right now. A quilt for my granddaughter. She wanted only black and white but I am throwing in some electric blue. Ann in TN

I have made 3, 1 with a splash of red, 1 with bright pink and 1 just black & white

No, and I don't think I ever will - I am a sampler person and just prefer the eye candy when I am working on a quilt. Edie

Red is a classic addition to B/W. I used prints and my eyes were CROSSED by the time I was finished with it!

I think adding some color keeps the pattern from being "boring." I've used red, turquoise and purple. Gives a little drama to the quilt.

I have made 1 black/white quilt, and yes, I did add a spash of color, you can check it out in the pictures section. It is called Paradigm Shift, I made it for my granddaughter this year for xmas, she is 14. Past the age for childrens prints.
I think the black/white quilts need a punch of color. |
K. P. These are beautiful......
