I just recently heard of silicone spray for free motion quilting and haven't used it yet, but I've been free motion quilting for about 18 years now and have always used pledge furniture polish around my sewing table to make my quilt slide real easy. Just spray and wipe off with a cotton cloth to remove all residue and polish. It becomes real slippery and I have never gotten any of build-up or yellowing on my sew steady tables.I might try the silicone but pledge is much cheaper and works great on plastic, metal, or wood. Read the label and you'll find there is no wax in it to build up.I've used it for years. A cloth diaper works great for polishing. Try it.

I have had better luck using a piece of silicone that fits over your machine bed with a hole for the needle...there is a commercial product called the Supreme Slider - you can Google it to find it...pricey, but works well. Saw a thread on this awhile back and it was mentioned some have had good luck purchasing a piece of silicone at Bed Bath and Beyond. Hope that helps :)

I have this and it works well. Has a tacky back to hold it in place. If it stops sticking just wash it off , let it dry and it is good to go.

I have the fabric folding pin, and I really love it. It does a great job. It doesn't take but 4 or 5 drops to mix it with water.

I bought the pen over a year ago during a shop hop, then was given one as a gift. I have used it about 4 time, on the beach towel quilts.
