Please beware of the folding pen! It may work well but it comes with a warning that it can cause irritaion to the skin. The teacher gave it to us in a applique class and I chose not to use it because I have exeama(?) on my hands and did not want to make it worse!

I lost my silicone slider but loved it. I think I'll try the pledge furniture spray.

Thanks for the info no the fabric pen. It is new to me. Must try one. I always clean my sewing table and ue a good wax on it before I start to do a FMQing project. This is very cheap and works great.
peace

That pen sounds like it might work for holding binding in place before sewing. Might be better than Clover clips.
I have used Elmers glue and glue pens, both of them work but are messy to work with.

My wife learned in a class that rubbing a Bounce fabric softener sheet over the surface of your machine table makes it slippery for FMQ'ing. I tried it, and it works!

Great tips here. I am curious about the home recipe for the folding pen...will watch for ideas.

I use the liquid silicone (not spray) on my thread. I put a drop on a spool of thread before sewing. It won't hurt the sewing machine. All newer machines have silicon embedded in the internal parts. Also the liquid silicone is great for frizzy hair. LOL. It's the same thing in the non frizz, great shine hair products. Just a drop on your hair brush works great.

I like the Bounce fabric softener the best. Sandra
