It's nice to have a bit of a stash. Adds color and purpose to a life.

But that much... is kind of sad. She didn't come close to using it up. I truly hope she got a great deal of pleasure from acquiring it.

I dunno... maybe it's just me, but the older I get the less desire I have to collect anything at all. I still like looking at pretty things, I just no longer feel the need to own it. Just looking is enough.

I wonder if I'm the only one?

You're not the only one. I totally agree! What good is that much fabric if you don't have time to use it. It's sad. Think of the money that was tied up in that and how it could have been put to much better use .... given to charities or helped other people with it. And her poor children, or whoever had to go through all that .... i really feel for them!

Oh my God. I am shocked. How much did you take home with you? I am overwhelmed just looking at it and thinking it belonged to one person and not a quilt shop. Wow!!

I was saying 'WOW!' at each picture as I scrolled down. Looks like the prevailing thought!

What an experience. Thanks very much for sharing. Ok going to have to spend a WHOLE lot more time on the internet surfing for more fabrics. I did not even fill 1 tenth of a table. WOW That really must have been something to see. Sorry you were not able to enjoy the last bit of the day, but i fully understand. What a very clever idea that was.

Wow! My hubby has nothing to complain about after seeing that! LOL It's just mind-boggling. And as long as she was happy, who cares. And I would bet that if she was that good of a quilter, she got hit up alot from charities for donations to auction as fundraisers.

That stash is amazing! The owner obviously had a passion for quilting and had some wonderful ideas of what to do with all those supplies. It's a shame she wasn't able to put it to use, but those that participated in the event will benefit from her love!

She didn't have to worry about leaving her stash behind. In heaven we probably will have an unending supply and plenty of time to work with the fabric that we need. :)
