That what I have. I took a 4 ft folding and raised it up. It was easy enough I did it myself. Well expect cutting the PVC pipe. I had the very kind gentleman at Home Depot do that for me when he was puzzling over why I was trying to do. Here's a photo of it. He also suggested the caps, he wanted me to glue them on. But they are such a snug fit, I've never had a problem with them coming off. One of the things you can't see well is the nut and bolt system that goes through each leg to support the tables legs inside the PVC. You measure up, or down, the leg and drill a hole for the nut and bolt.

Now this looks like a perfect solution. We need a company that will come up with some adjustable legs on a good cutting table.

Mine is about 38" too. It is just a folding table that we put pieces of PVC on the legs to raise it. Kind of like bed risers, except they can be cut to any height you need. Also easy to dismantle if you need the table for something else.

I have three cutting areas. One is 29-1/2, one is 35, and one is 37-1/2. Depending on how cluttered everything is and/or how my back feels I can cut at any height that is comfortable.

Quilting Grannie, in my sewing room mine is 36", I'm 5' 4" and it is perfect for me.

The managers should be able to raise the cutting table using concrete blocks or a riser of some sort. The question is do you work for a chain fabric store or an independent store. If you work for a chain the company usually has standards set for uniformity and appearances to the public. If you managers are saying there is nothing they can do that rising it is dangerous that would be my guess for their responses to you and your co-workers. They would probably get in trouble from corporate if they made changes.

I work for Walmart! 'nuff said????

Well, no wonder you're having the trouble you are with them. I'm so sorry for you. I do hope things get better, but after all it is WM. Just my opinion. No offense intended.

OH! Definitely. Nothing can be changed unless it comes from Arkansas. Sorry.

I use the freezer top in the garage in the winter and the top of the dryer in the summer. I'm 5'9" and it is better than the dining table.

I went to sam's club and bought a folding banquet table with adjustable legs. DH added plywood on the top, when not in use, table folds back up and plywood along the wall. It also has adjustable legs so you can adjust the height

instead of metal pipes, on my Sam's banquet table we use pvc pipe for the legs to set in, it is stable and cut to my right height, inexpensive and easy to cut
