I also think a strip of the purple would be nice.

I think the purple would "complete" the border.

Without the brown.

Without the tan.

margecam52 07-02-2011 01:05 PM

I would go with the same color you are using for binding/outter border, or the purple.

teacherbailey 07-02-2011 01:14 PM

Definitely without, but a little border (maybe 1 1/2" cut size) of the reddish purple of your stars would be gorgeous!

duckydo 07-02-2011 01:18 PM

I agree with the small purple strip. It is very pretty, you do nice work

Absolutely no brown! Make a narrow border of the darker purple. froggyintexas

Beautiful stunning quilt !! NO BROWN PLEASE !!! It doesn't need an inside accent border. Let the quilt float with the lavender background, use the green print as an accent binding. The first picture is PERFECT !!!

My vote is without the brown. Love the quilt

Instead of the brown, do you have anymore of the outer blue boarder. If you do, maybe repalce the brown with the blue. This is just my opinion, and whatever you do will look great. Thanks for sharing. :-)

Dark purple, thin green, lavender, green binding.

I don't care for the floating look of the 1st one. It needs a narrow border to frame the center.

It's hard to tell with the enlarged photos on my monitor, but I'm seeing different shades of brown in the green fabric used for the churn dashes and also in the fabric used for the centers of the churn dashes - especially in angels/fairies hair and shadows. I like the brown. It adds an unexpected touch.

As mentioned before, try auditioning several combinations of borders. You will get that gut level feeling and know when the "best one for you" appears.

The brown is okay, but I would agree with LindaM ~ a purple would 'play better' with your quilt.

Ditto

I agree, a small dark border more in the color palette will be very pleasing.

Without the brown. Beautiful quilt by the way.

tntgranny 07-05-2011 04:28 AM

Use a small stip of the darker purple betweent he quilt and the lighter purple. It needs to have something define the edges of the quilt - otherwise the the quilt kind of melts into the sashing.

Margie 07-05-2011 07:09 PM

NOOOO BROWN

rob529 07-05-2011 08:24 PM

Brown seems too strong- too dark, but I like the idea of a stop border there to frame it. Maybe something a bit softer.

Aunt Patti 07-05-2011 10:38 PM

without the brown

Little Sue 4.9 07-06-2011 02:08 PM

with the brown and thanks for sharing

wenot 07-06-2011 02:28 PM

lol...i thought it said help with hoarders....

I do like the design with the brown better, allthough i agree with the others, that it is not coming back in the quilt..
