without the brown

LindaM 07-01-2011 04:58 PM

Without - what about a little dimensional strip of the purple instead of the brown?

Pamela Artman 07-01-2011 04:58 PM

Definitely without!

sisLH 07-01-2011 04:59 PM

I agree -a small purple would be nice.

The brown is okay, but I would agree with LindaM ~ a purple would 'play better' with your quilt.

donnajean 07-01-2011 05:02 PM

Ditto!

Lovely quilt!

My vote is for without the brown, as it's not in the quilt anywhere (that I can see), so it looks like a misfit.

I totally agree, the purple would be perfect! And if by chance you don't have anymore to do it with, your quilt will be nice the way it is.

Murphy 07-01-2011 05:52 PM

Without the brown. Beautiful quilt.

I agree with this... do you have more purple?

MelodyWB 07-01-2011 06:37 PM

I would use a 1" purple (popping) strip..instead of the brown..then add your border..very pretty quilt !!

GreatStarter 07-01-2011 07:16 PM

Without the brown.

me too---purple would make it pop

M.I.Late 07-01-2011 07:40 PM

IMHO I would love to see a pin strip of the darker purple then the light border and green binding. If you want to go a little bigger. A green strip, dk purple pin strip, the lavender and bind in the green. JMHO

I would test drive every idea you get here and see how they look to you - put it on a wall and walk by all afternoon with the ones you like - the right one should stand out to you and you'll know the minute you put it up.

earthwalker 07-01-2011 07:52 PM

I'm with the purple idea...and lose the brown altogether.

My thought exactly!

thenonnielady 07-02-2011 02:37 AM

no brown. green maybe purple instead of brown.

bebe 07-02-2011 02:40 AM

without the brn a darker shaed of green or pue[rple would look nice

myfrenchawakening 07-02-2011 02:44 AM

I would save the brown for another project. The purple will frame it better without distracting the eye away from the sweet pattern, Good job! Therese

Mary L Booth 07-02-2011 02:55 AM

I agree the purple.

I agree with LindaM -- if you're going to do three, definitely use a purple instead of the brown; it will really make those stars pop!

whiteoak123 07-02-2011 03:37 AM

WOW!! What pattern is that? and would you share it with me?
you can email it to me privately if you like. [email protected]

Vat 07-02-2011 03:41 AM

I agree to lose the brown. Do you have more of the darker purple? Try a small inner border of the darker purple and the the green.

quilter2theend 07-02-2011 03:56 AM

Without the brown and I agree with LindaM, a little of the purple instead.

piepatch 07-02-2011 04:04 AM

Without the brown! I would replace the brown with purple.

PuffinGin 07-02-2011 04:09 AM

I agree with those who say without the brown and add small purple if you have it.

jahaper 07-02-2011 04:09 AM

Without the brown.
