How about a second quilt so she can bundle her baby in one & keep the other? (She may not have even thought of this)

Prayers for the expectant mother and the little angel. All the ideas and suggestions are good, and you are a dear friend to be thinking of them and trying to ease their sorrow. Just knowing everyone cares will help ease their pain.

Stopping to say a prayer for the baby and its parents and also to Thank God that my recently born great grandchild is healthy and thriving. Sometimes we forget to be thankful for all that goes well in our lives.

As a grandmother who lost one 6 hours after birth, I can tell you that the keepsake box is a wonderful idea. My grandson's mother treasured hers.

great idea. My baby daughter lived 4 days and that would have been something that I would appreciate and look back in for years.

My DD friends had a little girl that had this syndrome and she lived 5days. They did not even find out about the defects until the 8th month(dr. Fault) I made them a soft flannel taffy quilt and embroidered her name and birth date on it. They have kept the blanket. BTW, they have since had a beautiful baby girl who just turned 1. Whatever you decide to do will be greatly appreciated by the parents.

Not being familiar with Trisomy 13, I did a little searching and found this site. If your friend is open to it, she might find this site comforting and hopeful: http://www.livingwithtrisomy13.org/
