Help. A friend's grandmother made this quilt and called it "Road to Jericho." I can't find a pattern that looks like this one. The roadway is made by turning the squares and it looks like each road crosses both corners of the block. All blocks are identical. Anyone have a clue for this simple pattern?

My guess is some quilter made up the pattern as she/he went along.

just saw a similar quilt in a women's household magazine from many years ago. the pattern was called drunkard's path.

And upon further inspection, I finally SEE what you have all been saying. Every block is the same- just set at different turns to make the lines snake thru the quilt.

The link won't work for me either. I took out everything and went to Early women masters site and found lots of quilt listings but no snakes trail. I even searched but can't find it. I love the quilt.

That's a really cool quilt. Looks like it could be really fun to make.
