Help identify this pattern?

Help. A friend's grandmother made this quilt and called it "Road to Jericho." I can't find a pattern that looks like this one. The roadway is made by turning the squares and it looks like each road crosses both corners of the block. All blocks are identical. Anyone have a clue for this simple pattern?

The one I made almost like this was called crazy drunkards path. Mine had crazy quilt like centers on each block then a narrow arc then a quarter circle in 2 opposite corners.
