piece your back together. that way it makes it a 2 sided quilt. I do it all the time.

I'm sure whatever backing you choose will be fine. Just wanted to say what a FANTASTIC quilt !!! He is going to absolutely love it. If he doesn't then I will send you my address & I can give it to my GS who is 11. LOL

There is a really cute Route 66 fabric at JoAnn's if there is one close to you.

I would also add borders around it until it was the size needed. If you have any of the other colors used on the fron, use them. Great quilt btw!

I agree with this, I have done something similar several times & it comes out really great, instead of solid color tho I used some tone on tone type prints that I already had. so doing that has a double purpose, using what you already have makes it free! LOL

Love your quilt... I am making one for my 8 year old grandson with "Star Wars" fabric and could not decide on a pattern. Think you have just given me an idea of what to do.
