Which of these do you like best? The quilt is for my new grand daughter expected in July. They look better without the lines in the sashing. That's just the way I had to draw them to get the design in EQ7 even though they probably won't be pieced that way. I just haven't figured out how to export the images without the lines.
So, which do you like best? They'll be made with a layer cake and yardage by Sandy Gervais galled Giddy. #1 #2 |
the first, don't ask me why! both are nice
#2 does show a lot more possibilites than the first stlye....JMO!

If the grandchild was older I would say one and i think 2 is more a baby look, don't ask why because I don't know why.
I like that little thing you have going on with the first inner sashing on the first quilt, but I'm really not a fan (totally personal opinion) of a lot of white sashing.
So I'll pick the second, where the pieced sashing kills/dilutes the amount of white. ;) |
I like them both, but am leaning toward the second one.
I think I like NO:1 too.. The other one looks kinda busy. depends if you want the middle to show off more. then No;1 is it. if not then NO;2 is it.
#1
I'ld go for 1 too, nr. 2is too busy for my taste.
But I'm sure both will make lovely baby quilts. |
How about #1 with some color just on the squares where the sashing meets?
Number 1

I like #1 the best.

Personally, I like #2 but they're both very nice.

so, now that you've asked, you are still in a quandary! everyone has a different idea...good luck.
#2
Both are nice! First one looks like it would take less time~
#2. For some reason it looks more like a baby quilt to me, don't know why.
#2 looks a lot softer for a little girl.
I like the color arrangment on two better but the pattern on one. I would do pattern 1 with more of the darker fabrics as in 2.
I like #1 the best, like the thin sashing of color before the white.
I like the second one best.
Okay I hope you will understand what I am going to say. I like number 1, but I am wondering what #2 would look like with out the sashing on the inside of each block, or for that matter the sashing on the outside of the smaller blocks. Just wondering and looking at all the possibilites.
I like the first one only b/c it is less busy and simple. Either way it will depend on your preferences.
I like #1, but I would put colored cornerstones to break up the sashing.

I like them both. Can you do 2?
I like them both, but if I had to pick only ONE... I'd go with #2 and make the small cornerstones hit just right that they were floating in a sea of white. That sashing setting always looks so sweet to me for some reason :)
I think Number 2 looks more appropriate for a little one.
Number 1 would look smashing displaying some killer asian prints. |
I vote for #1.
No. 1
I like them both but if I were going to make one, it would be #2. Not sure why; my eye likes it better.
No. 2
I like 2 seems brighter.
Number 1 because:to my eyes #2 is too busy.
