Your quilt is beautiful, but how about quilting it in white?

merrylouw 05-02-2011 05:51 AM

Red would be my preference. Beautiful pattern and fabrics!

Sallyflymi 05-02-2011 05:54 AM

beautiful quilt. i would use the red

grannyp70 05-02-2011 05:56 AM

I love your quilt, its beautiful, I think it would be pretty with either one, but in my opion I would use white to quilt it with. But I am sure it will be beautiful with what ever you choose to do it with.

Gatormom3 05-02-2011 06:06 AM

Lovely quilt and pattern - I would quilt with white or invisible.

That depends on wheather or not you want the quilting to stand out. Red would be my choice but any of the colors would be beautiful.

celwood 05-02-2011 06:13 AM

I would use red. The top is gorgeous.

Tudey 05-02-2011 06:15 AM

I would actually use a verigated red if you have one.

quilter2theend 05-02-2011 06:25 AM

Red or variagated, will make things pop and add to an already beautiful quilt!

Happy Linda 05-02-2011 06:45 AM

Beautiful. I would use white unless the quilting is part of the design. Then I would use black. I did a Black and white wedding quilt. I put pink hearts in the center of alternating squares. Sent it out to a quilter and she used hot pink. I was disappointed. I didn't want to showcase her quilting.

grammysharon 05-02-2011 06:57 AM

I agree, I think invisible or white would be look great.

Very nice...I'm sure it will be lovely no matter what you choose.

supergma 05-02-2011 07:07 AM

I would do red. Just want to say your quilt is beautiful.

IdahoSandy 05-02-2011 07:10 AM

I would sometimes think that translucent thread works well but also what you have asked red is my choice

Iamquilter 05-02-2011 07:16 AM

What color are you using on the back for backing? Maybe something to match that.

cafegold2 05-02-2011 07:33 AM

White motifs in white squares.

M.I.Late 05-02-2011 07:38 AM

Invisible thread

betsey 05-02-2011 07:42 AM

Of the two choices, I would use red.

babyboomerquilter 05-02-2011 07:42 AM

I think the red would really set it off!

Lavada 05-02-2011 08:04 AM

red would be my choice

domo 05-02-2011 08:11 AM

I think I would use white, but that's just me. What does your quilt say to you?

wildyard 05-02-2011 08:22 AM

Beautiful quilt, I think I would go with white for the quilting!

abc123retired 05-02-2011 08:47 AM

White on the white and lighter print and black on black.

rona thickpenny 05-02-2011 08:49 AM

my choice would be 2inc red then a black scallop , i thick that would be stunning. But thats just my thinking.

purrfectquilts 05-02-2011 09:12 AM

Choosing between red or black thread, I think I would choose red, as long as it didn't run. Your simple pattern looks amazing with your choice of fabrics.

anniehug 05-02-2011 09:23 AM

That is one beautiful quilt - I think the end result will look good whatever colour you use.

thrums 05-02-2011 09:24 AM

I think white would be nice.

KSue 05-02-2011 09:57 AM

Beautiful quilt. Fabrics are sooo pretty.

grannypat7925 05-02-2011 10:54 AM

A very pretty quilt. I would go with white quilting.

RobertaMarie 05-02-2011 11:19 AM

Beautiful quilt. Be sure to show us how you quilted it, please.

vivoaks 05-02-2011 11:32 AM

Why not red in portions, and black in others?

SharynE 05-02-2011 12:11 PM

I think it is gorgeous! The colors are a favorite of mine!

sylvia776 05-02-2011 01:18 PM

Gorgeous quilt!!! I would do a 1" border in red and then a 4 to 6" border in the black. Good luck with your choice.

teacherbailey 05-02-2011 01:26 PM

I agree with the folks who want you to use white. Red or black would stand out a lot in the white fabrics and---I think---detract from your beautiful fabrics and piecing.

Or maybe use white on the white fabrics and black on the others....

nanquilt 05-02-2011 02:08 PM

Black. It is beautiful.

quiltaroni 05-02-2011 02:35 PM

I like red
