I agree with adding a black border to frame it in, and this will make all those colors pop. I would add a narrow black border then add another wider border with color then bind it in black.

I agree - a narrow black border the size of your sashing will frame it beautifully then any of those bright colors would look great!! I would then do the binding in black as well . obtw .....Love the quilt.

I would definitely do a black sashing around the outside edges. The bright colors are great and any one of them would make a great border. A ribbon border would look splendid on it.

I was seriously thinking black border with piano key border on outside. would look good too. think on all suggestions and then have fun!

May be i,ll order both and see what works when i get it .

Why stop yourself from using black? :D It is a perfect color for this quilt. If you really want to not use black in a wider border, put a black border all around that is the same width as the back in the blocks then choose any one or all of those fun fabrics to construct an an additional border that will give you the final size you want.

What I did with a bright quilt. Took it to the fabric store and auditioned fabrics. Had made the butterflies and this border print was almost the exact colors. Also one I would have never in a million year picked by itself.
