Show them how to sew a curved edge, the Apple Core design is a good one and so is Drunkard's Path. Many avoid sewing curves so any help you could give them would be appreciated.

Last month I did Prairie Points and showed everyone how to do them in a long line (2 color) and the 2 different types of points. Also what you can do with them. It was a fun demo and everyone enjoyed it.

How about a quick make and take? Try this one for a Matchbook Needle Case

I pre prepared the cover fusing fabric on two sides of cardstock. Cut them into the strips and participants assembled the rest. We ironed on tiny fusible fabric embellishments.

We had this technique demo-ed at a recent meeting. It was good to see, but would have liked more since I made the trip into the meeting for such a short demo.

Prairie Points. After watching it twice, I still don't get it!

How to end binding smoothly. I always need a refresher.
Also, Ricky Tims has a video on you tube.com on how to make a one seam flying geese quilt block. I practice with paper.
You could cut out the paper so they could practice along as you demo. It is really simple and makes a no fail flying geese with plenty of space for the 1/4" seam.

GMTA ... I was just about to post "one seam flying geese" ... good thing I read thru to the end!

Do Geese first, then follow with the 10 Minute block , as it's just a double up of the geese!
