I'd put in a note not to microw wave for more than 2 minutes at a time. I also made him Christmas napkins, and a 10 min table runner, along with the coaster and potholders. |
How about an Afghan made of scraps? Log Cabin or Rail Fence are good guy patterns, and you could "kill 2 birds with one stone," (get rid of scraps and make something a guy would like!)

How about organizers for his truck/car? There are many types from square ones to round up little things to bigger one that hang on the back of the seat with pockets. If you go to an auto store on line, you could get some good ideas there. If he is a golfer, you could make him some embroidered towels to hang from his bag or one of those seat covers to keep his butt from getting scorched from the hot seat in the sun. Maybe done in manly colors?

If you made him coasters and potholders, he sounds like he uses his kitchen! Why not make him aprons? I made my daughter and her boyfriend R2D2 and Darth Vader aprons and they love them.

Is he the type to ever use a pot-holder or oven-mitt?
Does he use re-usable shopping bags? How about a small backpack for hiking or biking? |
