Help needed on border
 

I have designed a wallhanging for my DB for a specific quilting design. I am stumped on the border. I layed out three different designs and like all three but can do only one. I know I can count on my QB friends for some advice. Should it be #1, #2 or #3?

I like all 3 but if I were going to do #2 I would miter the corners. Beautiful quilt.

I like # 1 ok, # 2 would be nice if you mitered the corners- #3 kind of gives it a lopsided look with the opposing star corners.

I like 1 and 2.

I like #1 best. The other two need mitered corners to look right. Maybe you planned that and we're just too literal.;)

Absolutely number 1 -- since your quilt design is off center, I think the four corner stars make a nice contrast to it. Lovely!

I'd like #2 with a mitered corner. But I'm also suggesting to put the 2 corner star blocks on the opposite corners (#3 with the stars in the upper left and lower right corners). The opposing stars would make it look like the stars were tumbling?? Still miter those 2 remaining corners.

Would you like a skinny light blue border before the darker one?

No question, number 1.

# 1 is by far the best choice in my opinion.

#1 for me too -#2 seems dark and #3 seems lopsided

Thank you all. I decided on #1 I agree it was the best choice. I didn't have enough fabric to miter corners and that was my dilemma:o I knew I could count on QB!!

Number 1 is nice, however, on quilts 2 and 3, I'd like to see mitered corners to give the quilt some jazz.

I agree. No. 2 with mitered corners. That's a beautiful quilt and border and the mitered corners will be a great finish.

Simple mitered corners on #2 would be perfect if there is enough fabric. Otherwise, I would go with #1.
