HELP PLEASE! 3 Days to Name my Quilt Pattern
1 Attachment(s)
The hard work is done. I put together a pattern we are going to sell at our local quilt show in March here in Milwaukee. I have been writing and proofing this thing for so long You can make 16 different settings with just one block based on how you turn it and those around it, but the attached image is going on the cover. I CAN'T COME UP WITH A NAME. I AM SICK OF LOOKING AT IT :)
Any thoughts? The blue reminds me of the sea and I think of some kind of winding path too. So far: Sea & Shadows Brookfield Traveler (city our guild is in) Three Decades (last yr was our 30th for guild) Wandering Quilter Friendship Squares West Suburban Wonder Quilters' Highway Quilters' Path Snowboud (in memory of this winter) - 2ft on the ground now West Suburban Patch Quilters' Puzzle (I am leaning toward this) Help...brain dead. Any and ALL ideas so very welcome!!! |
It made me think of "Never take the straight path in life" so maybe that would be good too?
To me it looks like Blue Lightening Strikes ...
It's beautiful and unique!
Since the block can be rearranged to take on many different looks, how about something like: Musical Chairs Pick Your Path Many Paths But I like your ideas: |
One block and turn
How about choose your path to Brookfield?
Also love it and your colors. |
Butterscotch Ripple, Lightning Strike, Lazy River....all that comes to mind from the picture.
what about "The Chosen Path " since they can choose the layout depending how the blocks are turned ?
That is a beautiful quilt. Others have suggested some good names! Good luck - it should sell well!
My first thought was Down a Crooked Road or Down a Crooked Path.
Swirling Seas or Tidal Wave.
Bermuda triangle
Well... when I squint at the picture :o I see "Streams in the Sunset"
Road to Spring
My thought is since there is a 'Quilter's Puzzle' quilt pattern already available in print, why not honor your area and call it 'The Brookfield Traveler'. With that name you may get more sales not only because it is a great looking quilt, but also the quilters locally would have a pattern named after something familiar to them.

"Twist and Turn"

Interesting suggestions. I like the one with the name of the area.
Such great ideas!!! Beautiful quilt!!!
Bali to Brookfield--blue looks like Bali print
It reminds me of " Snakes and Ladders"
Yes, the blue is the path but the yellow stands out to me. How about The path to sunshine? The road to sunshine? Walking in sunshine?
Something like that. |
How about "Life's Pathway" None of us have lived our lives on a smooth straight path. At least not mine !!
Stroll Along the Beach

Path of Life. The path of life is full of hills and valleys.
Life's Little Turns?
I decided on "Three Decades" for the show sale here and "Choose Your Path" or "Down the Crooked Path" for when it goes on Craftsy. Thank you all.
I like edgy names for a modern quilt. Cracks in the Panes. Bolt Action.
How about "PATHWAY TO THE SQUARES".
How about "Carving your Path in Life". It also made me think of the southwest and Grand Canyon.
I really love The Chosen Path - just my opinion
I like Moonworks name.
How about Lightning Bolt
. |
HOw about Quilter's Two Step
Strips N Stripes?
Or what about Hip to Be Square? B as in Brookfield, Square as in HST, Hip as in modern.
Clutching at straws, you think? Hmmm, Turn Key in the Straw.....Oh gosh, DON'T get me going....sick, sick, sick Capri |
