I was just about to say Warm Wishes, too! It looks harder than it is, gives you a chance to play with colors a bit, and goes together easily.

When you find out what "patchwork" means to her please let us know. All quilt patterns made with blocks are technically patchwork quilts. so Warm Wishes, D9P, YBR, everything is technically something she has said she doesn't like. Will be really interested in finding out what she does like.

I think I will probably go with the take five pattern. It looks pretty easy to make . She keeps saying I need to make her a quilt but hadn't seen anything I thought she might like. She doesn't like the scrappy quilts. I guess that's what I meant by patchwork quilts. Thank you very much for all the ideas.

What colors/ fabrics are you choosing?

Make the 1600 quilt with a jelly roll. No cutting, just sew the strips together and you have a quilt.

Let her look at Etsy and Pinterest and find some quilts she likes... then go from there!

My daughter does not like pieced quilts either as she thinks they look too country. But she loves her crazy quilt that I made her.

I would sit down in front of Pinterest and have her search for modern quilts or something like that. If she is that picky, she needs to pick her own pattern or she won't appreciate the effort that you are going to to make her a quilt.

I agree. If she is really picky will she really like it? has she asked for a quilt? I would be hesitant to make something. Have fun with what ever you decide to do.

Why bother making her a quilt if she doesn't like patchwork?? Just buy her a bedspread or duvet. Our craft isn't everybody's taste. If you have a longarm perhaps a whole cloth quilt is more her liking. Sounds to me like your feelings are going to be hurt...just saying.

Knit her a scarf.
