I like a darker binding on most quilts. Same for this.
|
I'd do the stripe....I bind a ton of my quilts with a stripe that has the colors of the quilt in it....even if I don't have a stripe in the quilt itself.
|
Personally, I find that if I use a light color, like yellow, for a binding, it tends to get dirty quicker, or at least show dirt quicker, on a quilt that is used a lot, like a baby quilt. I vote for the blue!

Great quilt. Yellow would frame it nicely.

Yellow or the flange one. Cute quilt!

Like the idea of a yellow flange but favor the darker blue for the main part of the binding.
I just like darker bindings. |
I agree with those who say the stripe, if you have enough, would be best. Yellow seems like too much contrast and blue seems okay but wouldn't do anything special for it. In quilts as in flower arranging, having three of something eye catching brings a pleasing balance.

If that were my quilt, I'd use the very dark blue for binding. I like contrast between the binding and the border. In this case, the dark blue would "frame" the quilt nicely. If you want to put a border of yellow on first, that would be great and would make the dark blue stand out even more but without being overbearing.
That's just my humble opinion. BTW your quilt is really pretty! |
Yellow for my vote.

I vote for yellow!
