Ok...I like this idea!

I have a lot myself I store mine in a trunk, or for the big rolls I stack them and place a quilt over them till until needed Just for looks I quess but a closet works well also

Right now I have a roll in the corner behind my frame, but it is hard to get to. I have packages in a basket under the frame and scraps in plastic bags in a box under my sewing table. Not the best ideas! When I move into my new quilting shed I want to hang the roll from the ceiling near one wall and put a measuring tape on the wall. I like the idea of vacuum sealing the scraps. Now to figure out how to store the packaged batting! Thanks for this discussion!

Since I buy all my batting by the box I use what I need and put the rest back in the bag it comes in and back in the box and store the boxes in the basement.

I stack the big roll in a spare bedroom and the pieces I throw behind a curior cabinet, filled with singer items.

I too have a mess

I don't buy rolls. They take up too much space. I buy my batting by the case from Hancocks of Paducah. I store the scraps in a couple of those big storage tubs. I keep the poly batting scraps in one and the cotton scraps in another. The scraps get used up in table runners, candle mats, wall hangings, coasters, potholders, etc.

I have a large circular mesh collapsible hamper that I bought at Joann's during a back to school sale ($5). I put all of my pieces, and also the batting that I purchase in packages. It hides under my cutting table and is light enough to pull out when I need to. I also store bags of stuffing in it.

I have my big roll in the closet in my sewing room. Works grat for me.

My scrap pieces are stuffed in a laundry bag I made awhile back. It's compact, and holds a lot.

I was going to go get the camera and take some pictures of just this thing! I have my rolls hanging in the basement. I wrap my rolls in plastic so they stay nice and clean in between times.
