I do the same with notebooks. I can't keep all of my quilt magazines, so I tear out the quilts I like, put them is plastic sleeves with 3 holes in them, then into 3 ring binders. I probably have 25-30 notebooks, but it is better than thousands of quilt magazines to go through, and I do label the outside of the binder.

Most of my patterns are packaged nearly the same size so I bought a plastic storage bin and I stand them up in it. I can flip through it to find what I'm looking for.

If I have a project going (a big one) I will use a notebook and put the finished blocks (8" and under) in a sleeve until the quilt top is finished.

I also have a block of the month that I did the same thing for. I put the pattern and fabrics in a sleeve until finished.

(I have a lot of notebooks). LOL

3-ring binder and plastic sheet protectors. Put patterns in sheet protectors, then categorize them in the binder with tab dividers.
Baby Quilts, Stars, Christmas, etc.
Works for me.

I"ve run off so many copies of quilts that I want to do - so I punched the holes in the papers with my 3-hole punch, and put them into notebooks. Easy to turn the pages; not always easy to find, but anice way to "browse" to see waht I want to make next.

I store mine in the plastic 3-drawer, on wheels, units that you can get at Walmart. The patterns are a perfect fit laying on their side. I section them off with cardboard...ex: purses, quilts, rag dolls, etc. They stand 26" high and are under my cutting table.

Me too! I made cardboard dividers in the box according to category of pattern and they are ought of sight but easy to get from under the bed.

I store mine in a 5inch 3 ring binder. They go into the plastic sleeves(sheet protecters) I have a bit of OCD.

I keep manilla envelopes and write totes, wallhangings, christmas etc. on the fronts and put them all in a plastic tote.

I store my patterns in sheet protectors and in 3-ring binders with sheet tabs listing the types of patterns they are, Example: Angel, Baby, Floral, Star, Tumbling Blocks etc. I list all of the different types of patterns on the spine of each binder so at a glance I know what patterns are in each binder. I like being organized that way so you aren’t wasting time looking in each binder for a particular pattern. As they say “Organized people are just too lazy to get up and look for it”.
