I have not been a member for very long, but you said it very well as to how even newbies feel. Thank you all for being so welcoming.

denilynne 11-01-2010 05:09 AM

Beautifully said, thank you

nursie76 11-01-2010 05:11 AM

Wildyard, That so beautifully articulates how I feel about this board and the wonderful friends I have found here. It occurs to me that what you have described is a family....and I truly believe that is what we, the members of this board, have become. Families support one another through bad times, share the joy of good times, and care for one another. Sometimes one family member gives support to another, then later, needs support and encouragement themselves, and the family dynamics shift to offer that member the support they need....all I can say is, I am truly blessed to be part of this family.

This board has been a life saver to me, also. I get up in the morning and tune in to see what everyone else has been doing. I love the suggestions as to help and the laughter, and the tears, it makes me feel as if I belong to a whole big family. Even if I don't always reply.

Joeysnana 11-01-2010 05:18 AM

You expressed my feelings exactly!! This board is my "guild."

TexasSunshine 11-01-2010 05:27 AM

I totally agree, this seems like a circle of friends.

preachers wife 11-01-2010 05:33 AM

Wow! I couldn't have said it better! I feel like I have a hundred new friends who are all walking this quilted road beside me, encouraging me to keep on trying. Bless you all!!!!

lillybeck 11-01-2010 05:33 AM

Beautifully said. I do not always reply on here but I read a lot and I feel the same. I can be me here and I know I am not judged by my mistakes in sewing or weakness knowledge. This is a great board and I spend way too much time on here.

KarenS 11-01-2010 05:40 AM

This post literally brought tears to my eyes! I have been going through some life challenges lately - having to give away my three cats because of a new husband's allergies - and am probably more emotional than usual. Reading this post made me realize that I am not the only one who loves the support and help I get from everyone here. Thank you all for your encouragement, inspiration, and wisdom!

CGail 11-01-2010 05:44 AM

I am still very new to the QB, but I have learned so much just by reading. Since I have joined, I have asked for help a couple of times and got responses immediately. I do think this is a wonderful group and plan on enjoying it for a long time. - Cynthia

Here Here, every word is the truth. I love this circle and all of the help and encouragement I have received from the members. I feel more at ease doing more complicated patterns because I know I can get the help I need at any time.

Amen! Two needs mentioned, twice fulfilled.

grammyp 11-01-2010 06:04 AM

Very well said. We are a family.

Pickle 11-01-2010 06:31 AM

Amen to all that you said. I sometime feel I don't belong when I see all the beautiful things that are shown on this site. But It just makes me want to do better, know more and enjoy and be happy with my own quilting. It is a good place to be. Thank you

clem55 11-01-2010 06:53 AM

Everything I feel has already been said here, just want to add that this board has added much needed friends at a time when I have needed them so very much. Anyone can PM me at anytime, for whatever reason. If it is help, suggestions, advice or just plain old chatting, I'm your gal. Hugs to all!

Connie Merritt 11-01-2010 07:19 AM

This is the BEST. As one quilter notes "no longer alone". I felt the same way so every day I enjoy my coffee/tea with my quilting friends. The feelings we have, the lessons we have or will learn, the trials of life and the joys of life and so on; we are able to share with understanding from our quilting friends. Every morning I look forward to greeting whomever visits on this site. I say "Good morning, join me for a cup and a chat". Thank you.

bearisgray 11-01-2010 07:28 AM

Just a reminder -

I, too, feel very "at home" here -

That said, anything posted here can be read at any time by any one.

There may be some things that are better said/sent in a PM.

I googled my board name - and EVERYTHING I've written here came up.

CarrieAnne 11-01-2010 07:32 AM

Thanks Linda, I think you just covered the way all of us feel. I look forward to this thread coming into my inbox, so I can learn and share with all of you wonderful people.

gramquilter2 11-01-2010 09:13 AM

Well said "wildyard.

carmen4him 11-01-2010 09:18 AM

Thank you for the inspiring words. I too want to be a part of the circle. We never know what our words mean to others. Your words have just helped me break through a rough time. Many times in our lives we will need that shoulder to cry on, that ear that is willing to listen, and words that are not quick to be spoken. Your words were very thoughtful and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. GB, Carmen.

mary 11-01-2010 09:22 AM

Ditto to all the things others have said. Really appreciate all of you. No negetive thought ever written, no feeling like you are so stupid because you do not know how to do anything. May God bless all for their help and encouragement. mary

Agree with you totally! This group is fast becoming a part of my circle of friends and I just joined at the beginning of October. Friendship is truly one of God's greatest gifts and this group is definitely warm and friendly.
