I agree! I'm in a couple other groups, and there is more of a bond, a together feeling, wanting to help, than the other groups.

Have you seen March of the Penguin? When I was reading what you wrote I pictured the penguins always trading places in this great circle each keeping the other warm, as you said sometimes in the center sometimes on the outside but always part of something bigger. This site was the first one I stumbled across and I am so glad I did!

Wildyard, I read your post with tears in my eyes. I've always wanted to learn to quilt but never could afford lessons or knew anyone to help me. Finding this board was a gift from God and I really do appreciate all of you and the way you accepted me and offered help when I needed it with no questions asked.
It does feel like family here and I like that feeling very much!
I have been a memember of another board (not quilt related)for 11 years and have met many of them in person. We are very close on that board and it looks like this one is the same way.
You've all made me feel like I've always been a part of your group and that I can ask for help if and when I need it and it's given freely without any hesitation.
As a novice, just learning it's a wonderful feeling! Thank you for allowing me to be part of your "framily". God Bless each and everyone of you.

I agree. My quilting buddy is in Ottawa and I dont have a soul in my life to share my passion, so I come here and whether I type or just read, I feel you guys are all my friends :) Just having my dear little mother who goes to bed at 8pm, this is where I come to be with "my people" Thanks for that

Wildyard, you said it all......and amen to all of it. Even though I've only met 3 members of this board and only spent minutes with them, I feel like I "know" so many on the board. I don't do a lot of posting....some....I rarely PM....
but I'm reading everything!!! I feel like I'm part of an awesome, warm, welcoming group of friends....thanks to all! I've learned so much from this board......

Well said! This board makes me cry and laugh, agree and diagree. I have learned so much, I think I am a better quilter and maybe a more thinking person. I love the encouragment given on the quilts shown and the help given when needed. All of you that make up this board are truly amazing

Beautifully said. I too, when I get blue I come on this board and I feel all my boo boos were kissed and all better. Then I feel calm and loved by so many wonderful quilters and friends that take time to comfort and encourage you. Bless you all.

Well said!!! I don't add a lot to this board, but I feel like everyone here is a friend. I love looking at all of the projects too, and some day I will post a quilt that I am working on. It is not as fancy as the ones I see here - but it is being made for a very good friend of mine. So, when I get it finished, I will post it.

How true! When people ask me if I belong to a quilting group I tell them that I belong to the best quilting guild ever, that I have quilting friends from all over the world and that we not only share our quilting but we also share our comforting, laughter and tears with each other. How wonderful it is to be in such a circle! Thanks for sharing that image with us, Linda :)

I love that you put it that way, it helps to encourage us all. we are what we are and we do what we do, but it is so nice to be in a group like this, it is an extended family, I feel so priveleged to have found this group. and very priveleged to be able to call you all friends.
