I once read you can stop the wandering by turning the foot pedal around back to front. My machine works from a push button so I can't vouch for it but sounds worth a try.

I have done everything short of nailing mine to the floor!! I'll try it!

I use the non-slip shelf & drawer liner that you get a roll for $1 at a dollar store. I also put a piece of it under my sewing machine to keep it in place(for the times when I have a "heavy" foot, lol!!

Yes, those will work if you have slick floors or carpet, but I have a really slick plastic desk mat under my chair and it extends under the table where I sew and it slips horribly on that. I use the sticky waffle textured shelf stuff and it works on the slick mat.

Me too!! :) I found circle cut outs of liner and I use one of the circle cut outs under my sewing foot. I also use them under my ironing pad on a table to keep it from "scooting".

I tried the drawer liner stuff..it slowed the creeping..a little, eventually my foot was stretched way out to reach the pedal. Then one day last month, I got an idea. I use one of those big plastic mats they use under a desk chair in an office (because I use a desk chair at my machine). I took stick on velcro, and put one half on the plastic mat and the other on the foot pedal!! She goes NO WHERE now!!! after years of chasing...I'm stable!

All these ideas are great. I think I might try the Velcro. I have smooth floors, too.

I love the idea. Now I know what to do with my old matt. The rug for the sink wore out but the toilet one is still good. Never throught anything out.
