I use a piece of stuff my DH got to keep wood from moving while using a router to make fancy edges on the wood.... Don't tell him I have a piece of his precious 'non-skid pad". What he doesn't know won't hurt me!!!

I use a rubber jar opener or the cheap rubber pot holders they have at thr Dollar store.

i had seen a tip where someone had said to use a car floor mat. i haven't tried it yet but that sounds like a great idea to me.

I use a small bathtub rubber mat that was too small for my bathtub. I got a larger one for the bathtub & I'm using the smaller one for my sewing machine pedal. Works great. No more chasing.

I put a piece of velcro on the bottom of my pedal. It does not move. Of course, it is on carpet.

OK, today I traced around the edge of my pedal mat on shelf liner. I cut out two pieces & stapled them together w/ the stickier side out and placed them under my pedal pad. I've sewn for about 6 hours today and no sliding yet! Hooray!!

I tried to put some felt sticky pads--used to pad furniture legs --to keep them from digging into the floor.--It works just fine to keep footpedal in place as it is sticky on the underside of it. Problem solved for me.

I saw a small rubber mat in the automotive department at Wal Mart that works perfectly for my foot pedal as I was tired of chasing the pedal more than I was sewing. Now it stays where it was put. This mat is for cars but not big at all and only cost under 5 dollars.
