Thanks Flo, I appreciate that. My next youngest grandchild is 18 and getting ready for college. This one was a surprise and is the light of my life.

I don't do clothes, but I like to make pocketbooks, trivets, wine holders and such.

Yes, I've sewn all my life...made my own clothes, a wedding dress, a man's polyester suit (LOL) my granddaughter's clothes.....don't do it anymore. I had rather quilt now!! I do alterations on my store-bought clothes...have to do that. I'd rather do the alterations than to cut out from scratch!!!

I sew. I made my daughter's wedding dress years ago but don't usually make clothes for adults(too hard to fit). I've made Barbie clothes as well as a Barbie tent and sleeping bags and doll bedding and clothes for 18" dolls. I've covered cushions and made curtains also. I've made robes and fleece coats too. Right now I'm in the process of making a messenger bag for my DG.

used to but only have time to quilt now. lol.

All my sewing machines are pre-programmed to sew only 1/4 inch seams   . They would probably self destruct if asked to sew anything wider.

I'm glad you didn't ask "How many cook cook"

I can sew but don't as often as I quilt

Hey David, Why do you need a separate board for sewing? In my Tuesday evening quilt my sis-in-law comes to sew (she is NOT a big fan of her quilting) and WE ALL have a grand time fellow-shipping. Do you not sew (piece) the quilt together than quilt it? I think we can help each other with quilting and sewing on the board. LOL, Sandi

Hopefully I can find as wonderful a board as this one for sewing!
